Indonesian Sociology Association (ISI) Malang Raya was established at 22th of April 2019. ISI Malang Raya and the surrounding was formed by the regional conference of ISI at GKB IV building at UMM. The meeting was attended by lecturers, teachers, activists and also practicioners of sociology who comes from Malang, Blitar, Tulungagung, Lumajang and others. Head of Department of Sociology, Rachmad K. Dwi Susilo, was chosen to lead ISI Malang Raya until 2023, as agreed by the attended participants at that meeting.
The managerial of ISI Malang Raya and the surroundings has been officially inaugurated today (30/4) by Arie Sujito as General Secretary of Central Board of ISI, based on SK ISI number 01/ISI/IV/2019 about legality of Structural Manager of Indonesian Sociology Association Malang Raya and the Surroundings on period 2019 - 2023. The inauguration was continued by working deliberation which began by the speech of the Dean from FISIP UMM, Rinikso Kartono. At that meeting, Rcahmad delivered that ISI Malang Raya and the surroundings must be an incredible institution in the next four years through its individual and institutional real contribution towards society particularly in Malang and the surroundings.
Other lecturers of Sociology department UMM also contributed in joining the managers of ISI Malang Raya and the surroundings. They are Ishomuddin, Vina Salviana and Luluk Dwi Kumalasari as the supervisor, Awan Setia Dahrmawan as vice treasurer, Rajih Arraki' as the member of Strategic Partnership, Tutik Sulistyowati and Aan Sugiharto at the Division of Organizational Development, and Sulismadi also Muhammad Hayat as the member of Professional Sociology Development.
